Shop
LEONIDAS- Leonidas is a world-renowned
chocolate maker, selling over 100 different kinds of Belgian chocolate
through 1,400 outlets around the world. Yet the beliefs that first
inspired the company nearly one hundred years ago are as strong as ever.
Senses Art Nouveau
Shop is situated in Rue Lebeau 31, near the Sablon in the center
of Brussels. It has been created by a couple of passionate, Isabelle
Leloup and her husband Jacopo Giola. Tired to see all the shops in
the world presenting the same old thing they decided to concentrate on a
particular subject unique to Brussels: Art Nouveau. Looking for
originality, quality and style, Isabelle and Jacopo have assembled an
omogenous offer in what people describe a
"very beautiful shop".

Something Old Brings New Light
To Souvenir Shopping - Brussels, Belgium Sitting
just below the gargantuan Palais du Justice is the traditional
working-class neighborhood of Les Marolles.
Here you'll find dozens of antique shops mingling with branche (trendy)
cafes along the neighborhood's two parallel main streets, Rue Haute and
Rue Blaes. But the best draw to Les Marolles is the Vieux Marche, a
daily flea market held on the Place du Jeu de Balle for close to 100
years.
While there are plenty of t-shirt shops and porcelain figurines to be
found around Brussels' other more famous square, the Grand'Place, it is
on the cobblestones of the Place du Jeu de Balle that you can uncover a
quirky and inexpensive souvenir truly representative of Belgian life.

Shopping in
Bruges, Belgium - Shopping in Bruges mainly focuses on exotic
chocolates, laces and beer. The chocolates are expensive but
then they are really good. There are also beer boutiques. A number of
art and craft shops dot the streets along with souvenir shops. Laces are
plenty but am not sure whether they are actually made there. Also it’s
better to check various shops before purchase
since the rates seem to differ amongst the shops- this is something I
have noted throughout the tourist spots of Western Europe. The supermarket is a good option for
buying much of the chocolates and beer. There are numerous cafes and
restaurants especially with outside seating.

Brussels is not the place to come looking for
bargains. On the whole it's rather expensive, though no more so
than neighboring big cities like Paris, Amsterdam, and Cologne. Still,
there are reasonable prices to be found, and even bargains. A lot
depends on where and when you shop. As a general rule, the upper city
around avenue Louise and Porte de Namur is more expensive than the lower
city around rue Neuve and the city-center shopping galleries around La
Monnaie and place de Brouckère. But this is not a fixed rule.
